Our client was sued by a public utility company demanding compensation for a gas line explosion that resulted in the destruction of a house. Our investigation determined that the utility company was at fault because they failed to follow prescribed state regulations and the procedures of the utility company were unacceptable, which resulted in the explosion. Our work suggested that the utility company itself can be seen as the proximate cause of the fire.
